Jungle Gym Creative Movement

Many young children are not meeting the recommendations for physical activity. The National Association for Sports and Physical Education (NASPE) recommends several hours of free play for young children. Creative Movement is fun and brings joy to children. Learn how to use Indonesian Martial Arts creatively to help preschoolers find the joy in movement while improving coordination and balance.

Cynthia's passion to see children of all ages actively engage in creative movement, has been her inspiration to use the Indonesian Art of Poekoelan Tjimindie Tulen as a tool to involve children in joyful movement. She is currently teaching at Studio Naga in Oakland, the Downtown Berkeley YMCA and is a consultant at several schools in the Bay Area.
