About NETA
The NETA Academy serves early childhood children, educators, and parents. The program aims to improve child health and well being through a comprehensive approach by supporting healthy food choices and an active lifestyle, which will also building an environment that both supports and promotes the adoption of these practices. NETA's primary goal is to increase early childhood education providers capacity to meet the health and nutrition needs of our ethnicially diverse children aged 3-5 years old.

Workshops
The Nutrition Education Training Academy has designed a series of workshops that takes providers through a highly interactive learning process. The simple hands-on activities can be replicated in the classroom. A "Train the Trainers" manual contains five modules with interrelated subject areas designed to provide a solid knowledge base in basic nutrition, food safety and sanitation, child feeding practices, gardening and physical activity.

Publications
Providers receive a newsletter four times a year, with the latest information on nutrition research, seasonal foods and nutritious recipes. We also provide information on physical activity, children's storybooks and Farmers' Markets.

NETA Materials
Age-appropriate and culturally relevant materials are available to Early Childhood Education Providers, in these multiple nutrition related subject areas; basic nutrition, food safety & sanitation, childfeeding, gardening and physical activity.
