The Nutrition Education Training Academy has designed a series of workshops that takes providers through a highly interactive learning process. The simple hands-on activities can be replicated in the classroom. A "Train the Trainers" manual contains five modules with interrelated subject areas designed to provide a solid knowledge base in basic nutrition, food safety & sanitation, child feeding practices, gardening and physical activity.
NETA provides technical support and assistance to schools, early childhood centers and family day care providers in nutrition-related topics. We monitor the implementation and impact of the program with a formative evaluation process.
