How many times have you thought about cooking in your classroom, but got discouraged because it seemed overwhelming? Three experienced cooking instructors will demonstrate simple techniques to help you organize your cooking experience in your classroom and have fun while doing it.

Soledad Drago
Soledad works for the Alameda County Community Food Bank Nutrition Education Program. She conducts meal preparation workshops in English and Spanish, using an array of culturally appropriate recipes. Her program also educates member agencies and their 49,000 weekly clients how to eat healthy on a budget using food from their warehouse.

Raheemah Nitoto
Raheemah has devoted her life researching human wellness.  She has worked in partnership with Mandela Co-op, People’s Grocery, Highland Hospital and the Growing Justice Institute to bring healthy food back to under resourced communities. She has a BA, in biology with an emphasis in human biochemistry.

Michael Bauce
Michael is a cooking instructor with Thousand Oaks Elementary School in Berkeley. He has conducted private and group cooking classes at youth and senior centers, summer camps, hospitals, and Farmers' Markets.
